Active Maths

On Thursday Class 3 took part in the Stevenage Sporting Futures Active Maths event.

The children were split into groups of six and spent the afternoon exploring maths questions and solving problems whilst being 'active'! The maths activities included solving calculations, odd and even numbers, matching analogue and digital times, decimal numbers, fractions and ordering numbers. There was lots of running, sit ups, star jumps and balancing involved as well!

Each group demonstrated fantastic team work and determination, both physically and mentally, and were excellent ambassadors for our school. Well done to all the children who took part. It was a really enjoyable afternoon. Thank you to all the parents who dropped off and picked up the children - your help was greatly appreciated.
