Boccia Competition

On Thursday 6th November, 6 children from Year 4 represented the school in a Boccia Competition at The Barclay Academy in Stevenage. Boccia is a team sport which involves trying to bowl to get as close as possible to a ‘Jack’.
During the competition Zoe, Amelie, Jessica, Alexander, Harley and Tiaan were chosen to demonstrate how to play the game and beat their opposition 6-0! Throughout the morning, the children then competed against 9 other schools and even though the weather was against them, they played brilliantly as a team and with excellent sportsmanship.
Well done to all who took part and a big thank you also to all of the parents who dropped off and picked up from the event.
