Celebrating All Saints
In our welcome worship yesterday we focused on what is important about our school and remembered that we are all “Walking together, discovering life”.
It was wonderful hearing the children explain their understanding of the ‘Road to Emmaus’ story which our school vision is based upon and sharing how we can live this out in our lives through listening, sharing, being hopeful, knowing that we are loved and building positive relationships with ourselves, others, the world and something bigger than us.
In our celebration assembly today, we started to reflect on our Christian value this term, which is Thankfulness. We looked at pictures showing the results of some of the incredible hard work that has gone on over the holiday to get our school ready for children to return and we gave thanks for the people from our community who have shown such care for us. Thank you to everyone who has sanded, painted, cleaned, sorted, cleared trees, pruned, weeded, pressure washed, re-organised, moved furniture, undertaken wiring checks, fixed toilets, created displays and so much more. We have such an amazingly supportive community and we really could not do what we do without them!

As part of our work, we were able to package up and send 11 boxes of books and resources to Africa and to provide an unused wardrobe to the local charity, Furniture Friends, helping to ensure that we are recycling things that we no longer need and also helping other people who can make use of these things.
