Healthy and Green Lunches

School Council and Eco Warriors have been working together over the last few weeks on a very special project. 

This morning at Celebration Assembly they shared their vision for healthy and eco-friendly lunches for everyone.  They have thought carefully about the problem and developed posters to spread the word about how they would like everyone to try and have healthy lunches and to reduce the use of single-use plastic where possible.  The team felt very strongly about the importance of healthy balanced meals and were able to explain how fruit, vegetables, carbohydrates and protein are all essential, noting that sugary snacks tend to give a quick burst of energy but can then leave you feeling tired later.

Please do have a look with your child at their lunchbox and see if there is a way that it can be healthy and green.  The school council will be sharing their posters and message again with their classes next week.
