Oak Class - Cave Wood Visit

On Wednesday, Oak Class took a very foggy trip over to Cave Wood for some field work as part of their geography learning. The children explored the features of a woodland ecosystem and compared this to what they have learnt about rainforests. 

The children enjoyed getting stuck in finding bugs under logs, comparing leaf types and identifying British plants.  When they returned to school the children created some very detailed maps of their journey and learned about how to add a key.
