Oak Class - Commonwealth Sessions

Over the past fortnight Oak Class has been lucky enough to receive two PE sessions based around the Commonwealth Games run by the Stevenage Sporting Futures team. 

During these sessions, the children have learnt about some of the countries competing in this year's games and they have thought carefully about how these games are often referred to as the friendly games and why.

The children have thought about how they too can compete like an athlete in these sessions by showing teamwork, compassion, perseverance and determination.  The children worked on developing some of their throwing, catching and agility skills as they played games such as Find the Flag, Nessie's Treasure and they also played some jumping games.
