Y4 - Ancient Egyptians

Year 3 and Year 4 had a really enjoyable visit from the Hertford Museum team on Wednesday. 

Year 4 took part in an ‘Ancient Egyptian’ workshop.  The children really enjoyed learning about what Ancient Egyptians wore and why they wore these types of outfits. The children even got to try on typical clothes for Egyptians, look at replica jewellery and statues too! The workshop led Year 4 through the process of mummification before the children acted out this process with a doll. We learnt that this process only happened to rich people, and that we would have been classed as poor. Year 4 look forward to learning more about Ancient Egyptians as their topic, after the Easter half term.
