Y6 - Shaking up Shakespeare

To help celebrate Shakespeare Week and to bring ‘The Scottish Play’ to life, our Year 6 children took part in an acting workshop on Monday afternoon to explore the characters and plot of Macbeth. Although some of the children were slightly reticent to step out of their comfort zone, within moments  they realised how much fun they could have by getting up on stage and taking part.  Every single child took on a role including improvisations, chanting and even some highland dancing trees!

Anthony Glenn, who runs the ‘Shaking up Shakespeare’ workshop, commented on the children’s understanding of Shakespeare and knowledge of comedies and tragedies. Well done Class 6, for making the most of the workshop, and thank you to parents and the PTFA for your support with costs.
