Year 5 PSHE - teaching new skills

In Year 5's PSHE lesson this week, the children were asked to teach another child in the class a new skill or technique. We had skateboarding, rugby, gymnastics, football, piano and cello playing and even some artistic skills on show for the children to learn! The focus was on how the children speak to each other when teaching a skill, ensuring that they are positive, supportive and encouraging, even when things don't go to plan.  We also talked about the challenges that we faced, when teaching a new skill, and how we can overcome these with support from our friends. Year 5 were so considerate of others, and all the children had great fun learning something new.
