Year 6 - Flour Babies

This term, our Year 6 children have been reading 'Flour Babies' by Anne Fine and in D&T they practised different stitches so that they could sew costumes onto bags of flour to create their very own flour babies. As you can see, their designs were highly creative and original.  Can you guess where they took their inspiration from?

Flour Babies - Year 6

The children have spent this week looking after their flour babies throughout the school day, never leaving them unattended and ensuring they come to no harm. Babysitting circles have been organised, a classroom nursery was set up and careful handling has been required.

Well done, Year 6, I hope that you have learnt much about taking responsibility, showing genuine care and putting others' needs before your own.
